Joblyd is a Chrome extension that helps you track job applications. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Joblyd does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
All data you enter into Joblyd — including job titles, company names, application statuses, notes, and any other information — is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage using the Chrome Storage API. This data never leaves your device.
The following information is stored locally on your computer when you use Joblyd:
When you use the "Read This Page" feature, Joblyd reads the content of the current browser tab to extract job listing information (such as job title, company name, location, and salary). This reading happens entirely within your browser. No page content is sent to any external server.
Joblyd checks the URLs of your browser tabs to determine if you are on a job listing page (e.g., LinkedIn Jobs, Indeed, Greenhouse). This check is performed locally by comparing the URL against known job board patterns. No browsing history or URLs are collected, stored, or transmitted.
Joblyd does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or data collection services. There are no cookies, no analytics scripts, and no external API calls.
You can export all your data at any time using the CSV Export feature in the dashboard. To delete all data, you can remove the extension from Chrome, which will clear all locally stored data. You can also clear extension data through Chrome's settings.
Joblyd is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
